India’s Law Minister: Bahrain International Commercial Court model for coexistence and economic growth

Manama, Nov. 6 (BNA) : India’s Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal praised Bahrain’s establishment of the International Commercial Court (BICC) as a landmark step toward promoting neutral justice and sustainable economic development.

In remarks to the press during the King Hamad Forum for Justice in Manama, Meghwal welcomed the establishment of the court, highlighting the importance of mutual respect law, dignity and communities among nations.

“The principles of neutral justice contribute to strengthening good governance and feasible coexistence,” he said. “When we resolve disputes through arbitration and mediation, our economies can grow. That is the message we must carry forward.”

Meghwal added that Bahrain’s approach mirrors successful international models such as Singapore’s commercial court system, where collaboration and respect for international law underpin global trade and legal cooperation.

The King Hamad Forum for Justice, part of a wider initiative to promote the rule of law and fair dispute resolution, coincided with the official launch of Bahrain’s International Commercial Court, key step in the kingdom’s efforts to position itself as a regional center for arbitration and international justice.
